The Insider

Autumn Term 2008
Newsletter 52nd October 2008

Dear Parents,

I am so pleased to see how well all the children have now settled into the new academic year and how they all bounce into school each morning with such enthusiasm! We started this week by welcoming Leanne from The Regeneration Trust to our assembly on Monday morning, where she talked a little about the work they do and thanked us for our generous donations from our Harvest Week celebrations. We presented her with a cheque for the amount we raised from our very successful Cake Sale. Tomorrow we are all looking forward to pulling on our jeans and supporting Jeans for Genes (please refer to last week’s Insider for details). I am delighted to attach Class 5’s wonderful Newsletter with this week’s Insider where you can read all about their netball match success, Harvest celebrations, the Big Book Bank Day and much more!

Big Book Bank

A huge thank you to everyone who donated a book (or lots of books!) for our “Big Book Bank Day” last Wednesday. Your donations were very generous and graciously received. The children were certainly very motivated and enthusiastic about sharing their books with their friends and eager to leave a lasting impression at Cameron House in the form of a written book review. We look forward to your continued support throughout the year in all of our special English activities. Thank you.
Sasha Nederpelt (English Co-ordinator)

Harvest Celebrations

We would like to say a massive thank-you to you all for supporting our Harvest celebrations last week. The cake sale was enjoyed by all and raised £185.40 and the collection on Friday was superb. We were stunned by the huge number of donations and were so grateful for your generosity. The Regeneration Trust were thrilled too and said the donations and money raised would mean a great deal to so many families in the local area. Thank you.
