Great Fire of London Workshop

On Friday 8th February Class 1 were transported back in time with Freshwater Theatre Company to explore life in Pudding Lane, 1666. They re-enacted street scenes, the fire spreading and seeking refuge at Moorfields. They enjoyed hearing the Mayor talking to the displaced Londoners and hearing from Samuel Pepys’ diary. ‘The best bit was when we started to move the flames. We had to wave the flames around to make the fire spread.’ By Celina. ‘It was funny when Chloe was pretending to be the Mayor because Megan moved her like a puppet.’ By Allegra. ‘I liked it when Giovanni was being Samuel Pepys because he had to write with a quill and some ink.’ By Luca.
